2 days til takeoff
Hey all! And thank you Emily for letting me steal your idea of keeping a web journal so everyone can follow our amazing European adventures. So I'm leaving in 2 days for a year full of wine, cheese, caviar, and cafe au laits in France and this might be the only way I get to keep in touch with a lot of you. I don't know if I will be as good about updating every day like Ems is, but trust me I'll try!
I fly out Friday, August 20th from SF International, and arrive in Paris Saturday morning, where I will kick off a year of amazing new experiences. We'll be in Paris for 5 days, and then we take the train to Grenoble, where I will be living in the dorms for a month and unless I suceed in finding an apartment and a roommate I'll be homeless come September 24th. You'll hear all about it soon :) I'll upload pictures soon too, but I'm not sure exactly how soon soon is because being homeless and all I'm not sure when I'll get to hook up to the internet. I guess we'll see!
It was great seeing all my beezies again in SB last weekend. You know I miss you and the drunken debauchery and the soy hangover cures the day after (thanks V!)
Well, I hope this weblog isn't too much of a disappointment to you all. I'll try my best to keep it up and feel free to leave me comments and send me emails! Hopefully you'll hear from me again tomorrow.

olivia! yes! i am so glad that you decided to start one of these things- now i can stalk you on the internet! hmm, i wonder if these blog people will let us post any of the pics that we take from our wild parties; they might be a little too scandalious! liv, i wish you the best of luck with your flight and all that good stuff; i'm sure you'll be fine... don't worry about getting hooked up to the net right away: see france first, then a computer screen :) i love you so much and your e-mails are always so heart-warming... you make me teary-eyed, and i can't wait to see you! i'll e-mail you with my phone numnber, so call me when you get settled.. and try not to break too many boys' hearts while you're there :) i'll talk to you soon!! xoxo <3
